Bio

Originally from Florida, my strongest background is in music. For three years I studied in the Bienen School, gradually shifting from the violin performance program to the Music Theory program, as I realized that my interests in music are more centered around analytical questions than performance ones. My favorite topic is the avant-garde of the 20th century. Although I finally decided math was the best major choice for me, I still have contact with this fascinating musical style through blogging, performing, and collaboration with composers.

At the Amaral Lab I have been learning the basics of programming in Python. My goal is to use these new skills for a real project involving page ranking of wikipedia articles.
