Want to do complex systems research?

Of course you do! The Amaral lab currently has several openings for Postdoctoral Fellows that we are looking to fill immediately. The main website page succinctly describes our main research areas (complex systems, systems biology, and science of science) and we currently have a number of exciting projects that focus on organismal behavior and development, quantifying individual performance, human behavior, healthcare, and idea spreading. Our lab is truly interdisciplinary, being comprised of biologists, physicists, and engineers, and focused on answering research questions in a thoughtful way that provides insight into the underlying processes and dynamics that compose a system.

We are interested in researchers who have experience with computational research, a solid publication history, and, most importantly, are thoughtful and excited about collaborating with and contributing to an interdisciplinary team. Past research experience in the field of complex systems and networks is not necessary.

If you are interested please send a:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Statement of Research Interests (or a cover letter)
  • Three letters of recommendation

to both Justyna Gutowska and myself (nwu-arp934@northwestern.edu).

Looking forward to your application!
