I’m a graduate student studying protein motion using molecular dynamics simulations, focusing on how we analyze motion. Specifically, I explore how we can use motion data to represent a protein as a network. Abstracting the protein as a network makes it possible to use network analysis tools, such as community detection to identify interacting components within the protein. I work on the bacterial adhesion protein, FimH, found on bacteria causing urinary tract infections.
