The Amaral Lab invites applications for several postdoctoral positions. We conduct high-impact research in the area of complex systems. Current research projects include systems-level study of cellular metabolism, modeling of ecosystem structure and robustness, modeling of human activity patterns, and quantification of research productivity. Hires will be expected to conduct computational research in several of the on-going projects, to take leadership in initiating new research projects, and to co-mentor junior lab members.
The successful applicant holds a Ph.D. in statistical physics, applied math, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science or a related field and has extensive programming experience in python (or similar language) and C (or similar language). The ideal applicant will have great communication skills, experience with collaborative research, and true passion for doing and guiding research.
