Dr. Roger Guimerà, a research assistant professor in our group, was offered a position as a senior research professor in ICREA. This is a tenured position corresponding to full professor which will be associated with the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, in Tarragona, Catalonia. ICREA, an institution without walls, works closely with Catalan universities and research centers based in Catalonia by means of long-term agreements that allow ICREA researchers to establish their research groups within these universities and centers.
Dr. Marta Sales-Pardo, a research assistant professor in our group, was offered a position as an associate professor with tenure (Professor Agregat) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Drs. Guimerà and Sales-Pardo will co-lead a research group focussed on the study of complex systems.
Dr. Jordi Duch, a Fulbright scholar in our group, was offered a position as an assistant professor (Professor Lector) at the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics at Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Dr. Duch will lead a research group with interests in the study of internet security, peer-to-peer networks, and complex networks.
