Kazi Y. Helal joined the lab December 2014 as a PhD student co-advised by Professor Luis Amaral and Professor Milan Mrksich. He was born and raised in New York City, having completed his undergraduate education at New York University School of Engineering in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering with a minor in Philosophy. He ventured out to here in order to pursue his research interest in systems biology.
