I did my PhD at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Paisos Catalans), under the supervision of Alex Arenas (Universitat Rovira i Virgili), Albert Diaz-Guilera (Universitat de Barcelona) and Francesc Giralt (Universitat Rovira i Virgili). I also collaborated with Xavier Guardiola from the Group of Complex Systems in Barcelona, with Fernando Vega-Redondo from Universitat d'Alacant, and with Antonio Cabrales from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Currently I am a post doctoral fellow in Luís Amaral's Group, at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Northwestern University. My work is devoted mainly to the application of statistical and computational physics to the study of complex networks. I am interested both in static-topological and dynamical issues of networks in physical, biological, ecological and social systems.

I have also worked on the application of neural networks to the solution of combinatoriaol optimization problems together with Carme Torras from the Institut de Robotica i Informatica Industrial and Pau Bofill from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya.
