I was born in Barcelona (Paisos Catalans) in 1976. I lived in Barcelona until I was 13. Then I moved to Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, a village in a region called Valles. Although it is not a touristic place (actually there are lots of factories), there are also very nice places to visit... well, I really enjoy trekking and walking around so I guess I would find nice places almost everywhere!

I studied Physics at the University of Barcelona and did my PhD at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University Rovira i Virgili, at Tarragona. Tarragona is a wonderful city with lots of sun and nice beaches to enjoy it, and also with impressive roman ruins and a charming and quiet "old town". Indeed, I used to live very close to the gothic cathedral of the city.

Currently I am a research assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Northwestern University, in Evanston, USA.

Beyond studying physics and of course having fun with my friends, I'd like to think that I also do something to change the world. I believe in social justice and I strongly feel that there is a possible alternative world. Actually, as somebody put it, I think that this world is not possible any more.
